Dr Alex Forsythe
I’m a part-time PhD student in Psychological Sciences at the University of Liverpool (funded by the Institute of Psychology, Health and Society and the John Lennon Memorial Scholarship). My academic interests are in the field of addiction and sex-specific research, as such my PhD is investigating how the menstrual cycle affects alcohol use and mood.

I’m a PhD student at the University of Liverpool within the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science where I’m supervised by Simon Maskell and Laurence Alison. I’m funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Unilever to develop decision support tools for strategic decision making through explicitly pulling on both psychology and data science (more on this here).
