The Liverpool International Music Festival is a relatively new annual event that takes place over three days at the end of July. LIMF is Europe’s largest free* music festival hosting a number of stages throughout Sefton Park.

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra usually opens the event at the Central Stage on the Friday, with more music from performers at the Bandstand Stage throughout the evening, before the firework finale.

Saturday and Sunday are where the festival grows tremendously with six active stages in total; Central, itsLiverpool, LIMF x Laces Out, Academy, LIMF Academy Silent Disco and the Bandstand stage.

LIMF is not only for current, popular artists to display their music as it allows future talented performers from the LIMF Academy to display their music to. Here are some names who attended the 2016 festival; Sigma, The Wombats, Ms Dynamite and Wretch 32.

Also available at LIMF is a variety of stalls with some offering merchandise and others providing food; there are over forty food stalls to ensure everyone’s palette is catered for. Alternatively, you can bring your own food and drink (including alcohol) to enjoy.

To find out more about LIMF you can follow their Twitter and Facebook accounts or check their website.
